(Homeland) - ShowMaker has provided insights on Group C, where GAM Esports competes.
At present, the attention of the League of Legends community worldwide is heavily focused on the 2022 World Championship (Worlds 2022). All teams have set their own goals. Undoubtedly, winning the championship title is always the highest aim. However, for some teams, especially those from smaller regions, maximum effort in every match is even more crucial.

Following the draw results of the Group Stage and Play-Ins of Worlds 2022, there have been numerous analyses from experts, players, and the LoL community. According to many opinions, Group A and Group B, featuring powerhouse teams like T1/EDward Gaming (EDG)/Cloud9 (C9) (Group A) or JD Gaming (JDG)/G2 Esports (G2)/DWG KIA (DK) (Group B), are considered the 'Groups of Death'. This is not to mention the two teams yet to be determined from the Play-Ins.

These are all experienced teams at Worlds. T1, EDG, and DK are even champions of this tournament. Meanwhile, C9 and G2 always make deep runs in the Worlds they participate in. Both representatives from the LCS and LEC also possess innovative playstyles, capable of surprising both opponents and viewers.
However, ShowMaker - the 2020 Worlds champion - offers a different perspective. According to DK's Mid Laner, Group C is the truly perilous group. In this group, we currently see the presence of Top Esports (TES), Rogue (RGE), and GAM Esports (GAM), along with one team yet to qualify from the Play-Ins (likely to be DRX from the LCK).

ShowMaker states: 'I believe facing JDG and G2 would be better than encountering TES or RGE. I feel more apprehensive about RGE and TES. But I also consistently feel that EDG is stronger than both TES or JDG. However, during the Summer 2022, they also frequently had underwhelming performances.' Additionally, ShowMaker asserts that if Gen.G competes against LPL teams, Gen.G will emerge victorious.

Conclusion
Despite knowing that at the current moment, when matches at Worlds 2022 have not officially begun, all opinions and assessments are merely reference points. However, ShowMaker's assessments are not unfounded, as both TES, RGE, and even GAM have innovative playstyles, capable of causing surprises. Nevertheless, it's certain that there will be no truly easy groups. And all teams must exert maximum effort to achieve good results at this year's Worlds.
