The shortcut keys used to shut down the computer are essentially a sequence of keys. This feature works without the need for any specific settings; you can easily execute it following these steps:
To begin, press the Windows + X key combination.
At this point, you'll witness the user menu appearing; proceed by pressing U.
Finally, press one of the following keys to execute shutdown, sleep, or restart on your computer.
- Press U again to shut down Windows.
- Press the R key to restart.
- Press S to put Windows into sleep mode.

Alt + F4 Shortcut

The Create Shortcut window appears; in the Type the location of the item field, enter: shutdown.exe /s /t 00.
Then, select Next.
In the next step, enter a name for the shortcut as anything you desire. Finally, click Finish.
The shortcut will immediately appear on your screen. You can use a single mouse click to shut down instantly. Or, if you prefer keyboard navigation, use the arrow keys to reach this shortcut, then press Enter to power off.
Additionally, there are other command lines to create shortcuts for your use when needed:
- shutdown.exe /r/ t 00: Restart the computer.
- rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0: Sleep mode.
