In the recent update 13.21 of Teamfight Tactics, Riot Games has significantly boosted both Silco and Ahri, marking the strong comeback of Silco's Witchcraft Team, a name that once dominated the meta in the early season.

Team Composition
Though Silco's Witchcraft Team has up to 8 activation breakpoints, there are only 7 champions available with this race/class, so players will obviously need an additional seal or core to activate all breakpoints. Depending on each case, we will deploy different suitable team forms.
If you have Witch's Seals or Cores, utilize the traditional 8-Witch team composition with champions including: Malzahar, Orianna, Swain, Taric, Vel'Koz, Silco, Shen, and lastly, Ahri. Conversely, in the opposite scenario, we will employ the 6-Witch 3 Ionia team composition by replacing Karma with Malzahar.
Equipment
Since Silco is quite a special carry in TFT 9.5, this champion has up to 3 different item build paths depending on the player's playstyle and orientation. Below are the 3 recommended item build combos for Silco:
- Combo 1: Blue Buff, Gunblade, and Spell Crit.
- Combo 2: Giant Slayer, Guardian Angel, and Shojin.
- Combo 3: Warmogs X3.
While Shen and Taric undertake the primary tank roles for the team, Ahri will provide additional damage in the late game phase, and here are the recommended item builds for them:
- Taric: Last Whisper, Inferno Cape, and Redemption.
- Shen: Witch's Seal (if available), Dragon's Claw, and Bloodthirster.
- Ahri: Blue Buff, Gunblade, and Guardian Angel.
Gameplay
Silco's Witchcraft is a relatively easy-to-play and operate team composition with champions ranging from 1-cost to 5-cost. There are numerous strong synergies that players can utilize to deploy this team composition, with the most favored being Void. With a team of 5 champions including Cho'Gath, Malzahar, Orianna, Renekton, and Kassadin, players can activate 3 Void, 2 Witch, and 2 Blademaster breakpoints, creating a sturdy early-game framework.
Moving a step further to levels 6 and 7, this is a crucial stage where you need to comprehensively transition your team composition. Remove Cho'Gath and Renekton, synchronize Swain, Taric, and Vel'Koz. Additionally, don't hesitate to roll lightly and search for Silco to activate the 6-Witch breakpoint. If luck is on your side, you might even acquire Ahri at this stage (a mere 1% chance in TFT 9.5, it's quite rare).
The best time for players to level up to 8 would be after the third carousel or slightly later, after the third shop round. Our task at this stage is simply to replace Shen with Kassadin and seek the 5-cost Ahri. Karma will be the perfect addition at level 9, although she's just a 3-cost champion, this unit helps activate 2 crucial synergies, Celestial and Mystic.
Twisted Fate and Aurelion Sol are the two most suitable legendary choices for the Silco's Witchcraft team composition. While Twisted Fate ensures a perfect item set for champions, Aurelion Sol leans towards a fast 8 gameplay style, helping players quickly acquire expensive champions to complete the team composition. Additionally, players can also opt for the legendary Urf to easily obtain the Witch's Seals.
Summary
Overall, Silco's Witchcraft is a fairly strong and top-contending team composition in the current meta, but its downside lies in the high competition among players. Above is a reference article on how to build the team composition, equip items, and playstyle of Silco's Witchcraft. Hopefully, it can be helpful for TFT players in their gaming experience.
