Fridge odors are a constant worry for homemakers, making it unpleasant to open the fridge and causing stored food to lose its delicious aroma. Here are solutions to address this issue.
1. Simplest Ways to Rid Your Fridge of Unpleasant Odors
Fridge odors are a constant concern for homemakers, making it unpleasant to open the fridge and causing stored food to lose its delicious aroma. Here are effective solutions to address this issue.
Wood Charcoal
Finely ground wood charcoal in a cloth bag can be placed inside the fridge, or you can opt for activated charcoal. Replace the charcoal bag every month to absorb moisture and eliminate odors effectively.
Coffee Grounds
After brewing, pack coffee grounds in a cloth and place them in the fridge. Each coffee bag can stay in the fridge for about 3 weeks; then, replace it with a new one.
Tea
This is also an excellent solution, as the properties in tea easily absorb fridge odors. If possible, use jasmine-infused tea for better effectiveness. After a month, replace the tea or sun-dry it for reuse.
Cotton Cloth
Due to its moisture-absorbing properties, use a clean, folded cotton cloth and place it on top of the fridge. Once the odors are gone, take out the cloth, wash it, dry it in the sun, and continue using.
Fresh Lime
Slice fresh lime into thin pieces and place them in each compartment of the fridge. The properties in lime will eliminate any unpleasant odors from the fridge. Replace with fresh lime slices when the lime becomes dry.
Orange Peel
Clean and dry orange peels, then position them in all corners of the fridge. The natural aromatic oils in orange peel will naturally absorb odors within the fridge after approximately 3 days.
