A funeral-themed coffee shop has recently opened its doors in the capital city of Bangkok, Thailand, aiming to remind customers of the meaning of life.
Touring Bangkok and enjoying coffee at the 'Funeral Coffee' shop.
The initial moments upon entering Kid Mai Death in Bangkok, Thailand, might leave many tourists startled, as if they've stumbled into a funeral.
However, this is truly a unique coffee shop worth visiting during your Bangkok travel.

The entrance to the coffee shop is through a dark tunnel, adorned with signs in both English and Thai.
Questions that feel like they're delving deep into the minds of customers: 'Are you feeling overwhelmed by life?', 'Are you contemplating leaving this life?'...

Stepping inside, you're greeted by a truly funeral-like atmosphere.
Every item, from the tables and chairs to the spoons, napkins, menus, and advertising signs, is adorned in stark black and white.

Even the decorative lights have a subdued hue, and the music is melancholic.

In one corner of the coffee shop sits a pen, a small notebook, and scraps of paper for customers who want to record their emotions and express their desire to live.

Not just the items, even the beverages served here are named after four themes with a funereal twist: Birth, old age, illness, death.

Right in the coffee shop's courtyard stands a coffin, accompanied by funeral wreaths.
This coffin is for those customers who want to experience death. They need to pay 20 baht to lie inside for about 3 minutes.

According to the staff at Kid Mai Death, the coffee shop with a funeral theme aims to remind customers to cherish their lives.
Life is too short; everyone knows their birth date but can never predict their departure date.
'Who knows if you'll wake up tomorrow?' one staff member said.

Kid Mai Death is open from 7 am to 9 pm, welcoming guests of all genders and ages.
Though only recently opened, this unique coffee shop is already attracting locals and tourists visiting Bangkok.
Many people share on Kid Mai Death Cafe's Facebook page that they feel a positive significance and a greater appreciation for life after visiting this coffee shop.
