You may be receiving unwanted or harassing video calls from various accounts on Skype. There's a trick to 'blocking' these calls, allowing you to prevent video calls from certain individuals or everyone on your Skype list.
Guide to Declining Video Calls on Skype
Step 1: Once Skype is installed, open the utility by clicking the software icon on your Desktop (if you agreed to place the icon there during installation).
Step 2: Alternatively, from the Menu Start bar in the Search Programs and files section, type in the keyword Skype, and search results will appear on your screen.
Step 3: Sign in to your Skype account.
Step 4: On the Skype toolbar, select Tools --> Options.
Step 5: In the popup window, choose Video Settings to adjust your video call settings.
Step 6: In the Video Settings window, under the Automatically receive video and share screens with... section, there are 3 main options for you to choose from:
- Anyone: Accept video calls from anyone you want.
- People in my Contact list only: Receive calls only from people in your contact list.
- No one: Decline all calls.
Here, we choose 'No one' to reject all video calls.
Click Save to save the settings.
So, with just a few simple steps, you won't have to deal with annoying video calls on Skype anymore and can comfortably chat with your friends.
