Following the recent interface update of Skype, Skype Preview, another version of Skype, has also introduced new features. From now on, during video calls on Skype Preview, users can utilize the real-time code editor through the platform's new Interview page.
Skype integrates real-time code editor for online interviews
However, there are certain limitations. Firstly, your browser must be set to English and the code editor is only compatible with Microsoft Edge and Chrome browsers.
According to Engadget, this code editor supports 7 programming languages including: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby. It features syntax highlighting to help users easily spot errors. Additionally, users can check multiple programming languages simultaneously.
As reported by TechCrunch, Skype has also added a code editor for online interviews and integrated additional options such as HackerRank, CodeVue, and Codility. Combining the code editor with Skype video calls streamlines the interview process without requiring users to switch between multiple apps.
This feature is currently available in Preview and Skype is collecting feedback from users. Skype users can expect this feature to be officially launched or available through the Skype app.
