These handy tips will make your beach vacation even more perfect this summer.
1. Motion Sickness Prevention
Many people avoid long-distance travel due to fear of motion sickness. If motion sickness patches or anti-nausea medication doesn't work for you, try the following tips:
When taking a boat or ship out to sea, choose a seat in the open, outdoor area. If you have to travel for an extended period, it's best to choose a seat in the middle of the vessel, as it experiences less rocking.
When flying, opt for a seat over the wings, avoid sitting in the tail section as it experiences the most turbulence. Open the air vent above your head and direct the airflow towards your face. When on a train or car, focus on the scenery ahead, avoid looking to the sides. Keep the window open for fresh air (except in heavily polluted areas), choose a seat next to the driver, or in the front to ensure good health.
Ensure a Good Night's Sleep Before Travel: Avoid alcohol and gas, and refrain from reading during transportation.
2. Remedies for Sunburn
Excessive sun exposure or carefree beach strolls without protection can leave your skin red, swollen, and peeling. An easy remedy is to:
Gently apply the residue from rice water to the affected area. Your skin will quickly be soothed and regain its softness. Additionally, the white part of orange peel helps remove rough, dead skin. Apply a layer of moisturizer, and you're good to go.
3. Camera Care Tips
Sea water or salty mist can damage your camera. Therefore, regularly wipe and brush off sand from the camera body and lens using a specialized brush after each beach photoshoot.
4. Fresh Lemons as... Mosquito Repellent
Bring a few lemons to ward off mosquito bites while traveling. Rub lemon peels on your skin or mix warm water with lemon and lemon essential oil to effectively repel mosquitoes.
5. Preserving Fresh Crabs on the Way Home
If you're bringing seafood, especially crabs, as a gift for loved ones, store them in a foam box with ice at the bottom. Lay a layer of bubble wrap on top and then place the crabs on it.
