Even when you don't have an ironing board (iron table), clothes can still appear flat thanks to these straightforward tricks.
1. Smart Tips to Smooth Out Clothes Wrinkles Without an Iron
Even when you don't have an iron board, clothes can still appear flat thanks to these straightforward tricks.
Utilize a hair dryer
When your ironing board is nowhere to be found and you're in a hurry, a hair dryer will prove highly effective. Spritz a bit of water onto your clothes to moisten them, then stretch them out as flat as possible and use the hair dryer to blow from top to bottom. After a few minutes, when your clothes are dry, those pesky wrinkles will vanish. You can confidently wear any outfit without worrying about its smoothness - that's its turn.
Water and Vinegar Solution
Can you believe vinegar can do this? But it's absolutely true. With a mixture of 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water - spray this solution onto the wrinkled clothes, wait for them to dry, and you'll be completely satisfied with the result.
Utilize the Bathroom
When you take a shower, hang your clothes near the showerhead to absorb the rising steam. However, ensure your clothes don't get wet. Clothes steamed in hot vapor will appear relatively smooth, and any folds will be stretched out.
Sort Clothes by Fabric Type Before Washing
Avoid purchasing clothes made from fabrics prone to wrinkles. However, if you already own them, before washing, sort and wash them separately according to different fabric types.
For example, soft cotton fabrics should not be washed together with denim fabrics, otherwise, the clothes will be tightly wrapped and the machine will cram them into wrinkles.
Use a Boiling Kettle
A boiling kettle can also flatten clothes. Boil water in a kettle until steam appears. Hold the clothes over the hot vapor. Place the clothes layer away from the kettle lid about 20cm to catch the most hot air. Then you will see the magical flattening effect of the steam escaping from the boiling kettle.
Use a Laundry Bag
If possible, put clothes in a laundry bag to prevent them from getting tangled. Using a laundry bag also helps reduce damage to your clothes when washing with a machine.
Hang Clothes Immediately After Washing
After the machine finishes its spin cycle, hang clothes immediately to prevent wrinkles from forming when left in the washing machine for too long.
Note: When hanging clothes, shake them vigorously. You can also spread out clothes and use your hands to smooth out wrinkles.
Hang Clothes Instead of Folding
Finally, when clothes are dry, hang them up instead of folding to avoid wrinkles from forming.
