Snapchat has recently unveiled a new 3D drawing feature, allowing users to create AR images quickly. True to its name, this feature of Snapchat lets users draw their own face or anything else in front of the camera lens.

This 3D drawing feature supports both rear and front-facing cameras. Thus, it's not limited to drawing the user's face; you can also use this feature to draw anything appearing in front of your rear camera. Do you find this feature familiar? It's quite similar to the AR Doodle feature introduced in the Note 10 phone version by Samsung.
This feature is currently being rolled out to iOS users earlier this week. However, Android users will still have to wait a while longer to experience it. Snapchat mentioned that Android users will be able to experience this feature in the coming months. If you're using an iPhone, you can access this feature in the Create section on Snapchat's AR toolbar.
Snapchat is leveraging AR as an effective tool to enhance its presence as a social media platform. The company has recently collaborated with brands like Spotify and OnePlus to develop interactive augmented reality photo capture options (AR Lens). This change vividly reflects user engagement, reaching 210 million daily active users in the third quarter of 2019.
