Speaking about the new Snapchat app for Android, CEO Evan Spiegel mentioned that improvements in performance and user retention would take some time to impact the company's user-related metrics. However, initial results promise a bright future for Snapchat.
In terms of financial performance, Snap has generated $320 million in revenue, a 39% increase from the previous year. While still not profitable, losses amounted to around $316 million, $76 million less than the losses a year prior.
Moreover, the number of Snapchat users aged 13 to 34 in the US has reached 75%, surpassing the number of Instagram users in the same age group.
