Our country, Vietnam, has gone through a thousand years of civilization, experiencing numerous historical ups and downs, with a rich cultural heritage. Among them, ethical culture has always been prioritized by our ancestors. The proverb 'You reap what you sow' is one of the ethical lessons that our ancestors always emphasized. Indeed, gratitude is always an important virtue for each individual, as well as for the whole society.
'You reap what you sow'- a concise and expressive proverb, easy to understand. The essence of the proverb is that those who enjoy the sweet fruits should remember those who diligently cared for and nurtured the tree. To have a sweet fruit, it requires going through many processes, from planting, nurturing, to years of waiting for results, the cultivator has put in much effort. Also from this proverb, our ancestors want to emphasize a lesson for descendants, that is, living in this world, one must be grateful, live with love and gratitude towards everyone.
Gratitude always exists in every person, living with kindness, love, and significance. They always feel grateful, appreciative of those who have brought good things into their lives. They always live well, with deep loyalty, always treating others kindly. Children, grandchildren always appreciate the birth, nurturing of parents, grandparents. Parents, grandparents have raised us, from the moment we cried out at birth, to the time we learned to walk and until we mature... They always give us heartfelt love, always caring for us. Each of us has a warm, happy life like now, has good health, all thanks to our loved ones who have cared for and nurtured us. Therefore, always be grateful, treat them well.
The things we have and are using, all have the sweat and effort of many people. The white, sticky rice grains we eat every day, are the result of the sweat of the sun, rain, and wind of the farmers who go to the fields every day to care for the crops to produce rice grains. Or now we can laugh happily, be happy with our family and friends because we are living in a country with a peaceful, independent, and stable environment. But to be peaceful like that, how many generations of our ancestors have fallen to protect independence and freedom for future generations. To have 'sweet fruit,' all must go through long processes and require a lot of effort, so we always have to remember the merits of those who have made those 'sweet fruits' for us. Our nation always has the tradition of 'you reap what you sow,' 'you drink water, remember the source,' and is always prioritized. We have March 10th as the commemoration day of Hung Kings, remembering the merits of the Hung Kings who contributed to the nation's construction. November 20th is Vietnamese Teachers' Day to honor and express gratitude for the teaching efforts of teachers, or July 27th, Veterans and Martyrs Day, to remember the heroic sacrifices for the Fatherland...
