Peace-themed competitions for children are also expanded so that kids from all continents can understand and appreciate the current state of peace. Likewise, each year's Nobel Peace Prize finds a deserving recipient for their contributions to maintaining national, international, and global peace. However, according to the 2018 statistics, global peace has been threatened for the past ten years by conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa.
