CGV has officially commented on the issue involving Trấn Thành.
On the night of March 2nd, social media erupted with news related to artist Trấn Thành, when a post from viewer V claimed Trấn Thành had crowded the line, buying out the entire theater, disappointing V. Within the night, Trấn Thành's personal page as well as the cinema group's pages were bombarded by netizens.

After the incident broke out and spread on social media, many netizens flocked to Trấn Thành's official Facebook, leaving derogatory comments. Some viewers even used phrases like 'hypocritical,' 'preaching morality'... and despite that, bitterly criticized the male artist. Since being involved in the controversy, Trấn Thành has not made any statements.

On the other hand, the cinema is also facing a serious storm. Not only receiving a barrage of comments from viewers, CGV Vincom Đồng Khởi (the place allegedly involved in the controversy with Trấn Thành) also received a 1-star rating on forums, directly affecting the venue's business.

Contacting CGV's representative regarding the issue involving Trấn Thành, Mr. Hoàng Hải - Content Director of CGV stated: 'This is a regrettable misunderstanding. We are sorry for causing inconvenience to viewers. The specific incident is as shared by the management representative of CGV Đồng Khởi.' He also made no comments regarding the '1-star storm' from viewers towards the cinema group.
Furthermore, Mr. Hoàng Hải affirmed that the cinema representative called the guest to explain and clarify the incident. Immediately after, T.H - the manager in charge of CGV Vincom Đồng Khởi posted an explanation, emphasizing that Trấn Thành had pre-booked tickets for his family rather than 'buying tickets on the spot,' and asserted that it did not disrupt the movie ticket purchasing experience for other customers. 'CGV has always had separate screening services for families, conferences... anyone can pre-book. We do not discriminate against anyone', T.H stated.
