SofM is emerging as a widely discussed name in the LPL realm
With the need to span numerous tournaments in the latter half of 2023, LPL Summer 2023 was organized with more haste than prior events. Naturally, with the privilege to co-stream tournaments at LPL, SofM also shows particular interest in pivotal matches. A prime example is the deciding match between WBG and Edward Gaming competing for the final spot at Worlds 2023. With high expertise and a renowned name, not only Vietnamese audiences but also LPL fans greatly enjoy SofM's co-streams of matches. Many even edit and translate these clips to engage LPL viewers.
However, due to language discrepancies, SofM has encountered some complications. Specifically, some individuals deliberately cut and mistranslate SofM's clips, deviating from his intended meaning. A recent case is when SofM learned that WBG secured a spot at Worlds 2023 and made some remarks. Nevertheless, some have taken advantage of this, mistranslating SofM's words to imply blame towards WBG: 'Why didn't they (WBG) bring Xiaohu back to compete with me when I was still with WBG?'
For SofM's fans, it's universally understood that the 'Vietnamese Jungle God' never harbors implicit intentions to disparage teammates in such a manner. He remains very close to Angel (WBG's Mid Laner when SofM was with the team), and both even made it to the finals of Worlds 2020. Despite this, many LPL fans still misunderstand and vocalize criticism towards SofM.
Currently, the situation continues to captivate the attention of the LPL community and SofM's fans. Many 'Jungle God' fans believe that he left WBG long ago, but perhaps the issues related to his former team still linger. In the past, SofM was criticized by TheShy's fans during a period when their idol's performance faltered, becoming a weakness for the team.
