Solution Method:
Subtracting two decimal numbers method:
- Write the first number on the top line, the second number on the bottom line aligning digits in the same column, each digit's decimal point should align as well
- Place the subtraction sign in the gap between the two numbers on the left side
- Draw a horizontal line below the second number, one square apart
- Subtract as you would with natural numbers, from right to left
- Place the comma in the result directly below the comma of the number being subtracted and the subtracted number provided.
