Sony's data reveals that the new PS5 model is 30% smaller and 18-24% lighter than the original PS5 consoles. Additionally, thanks to the ability to swap out the Blu-ray drive, even users who opt for the digital edition can still add a drive later on. Sony states that the standalone price for this drive will be $80, approximately 2 million dong.

Enthusiastic gamers interested in the new PS5 model can purchase the latest version of this console starting from November 2023. Sony states they will release it first in the U.S., then expand to all markets worldwide. Once the old PS5 models are sold out, the new model will be the only version available for purchase.
