Breaking away from the curved screen and 8K resolution trends, Sony's latest premium TV models prioritize optimizing display quality for viewers to enjoy cinematic experiences through various movie services.
Check out some of Sony's latest TV models.
The premium TV market in Vietnam is fiercely competitive among renowned brands like Samsung, Sony, and LG. Premium TV models not only compete in large sizes but also in resolution and display technologies.
According to Gfk data, there is a growing trend in users' demand for 4K resolution TVs with sizes larger than 55 inches over the years. However, a current issue is that the majority of content in Vietnam is limited to Full HD resolution.
With this resolution, on large screens, there will be issues like image blurring and motion blur.
Recently, Sony has introduced a new line of premium OLED TVs in Vietnam with excellent capabilities in handling these issues.
The images will be analyzed by the X1 Ultimate processor independently for each subject, resulting in much higher accuracy. Colors and contrasts are represented well.

In addition, the premium OLED model A9G will feature Netflix Calibrated Mode. This mode optimizes display specifically for users' movie-watching needs on the Netflix platform. Brightness and contrast will be adjusted to accurately convey filmmakers' intentions to users. Display quality can reach levels close to reference monitors used by filmmakers during post-production.
However, this new premium TV model truly focuses on display quality and optimizing sound. The A9G completely lacks virtual assistants or artificial intelligence like its competitors' products. However, users may still find this acceptable as the TV runs on the Android operating system and supports voice search.
According to Gfk data, in 2018, the leading position in the premium TV market in Vietnam did not belong to Sony but to a competitor from South Korea. This company also held 42% of the TV market share throughout Vietnam.
