The PS Portal requires a minimum Internet speed of 5Mbps to operate, while Sony recommends a speed of 15Mbps for an optimal gaming experience. Users can only play supported games installed on their PS5, as Sony states that the device will not support PlayStation Plus Premium. Additionally, users will not be able to run any other games or media on the device.
Sony PlayStation Portal will feature an impressive 8-inch displayThe PS Portal comes with an 8-inch LCD display featuring 1080P resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The button layout on the panel is designed similar to the DualSense controller of PS5. The device includes a USB-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and speaker system positioned on the top of the device. Currently, other specifications remain undisclosed by Sony.
Introducing Sony Pulse ElitePS Portal will not support Bluetooth connectivity but only Wi-Fi and PlayStation Link. PlayStation Link is Sony's connectivity standard that delivers high-quality audio and enables quick switching between supported devices.
