- Starlink satellites are being manufactured by SpaceX at an unprecedented pace in the aerospace industry.
- Sharing with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), CEO Elon Musk revealed that SpaceX's satellite assembly capacity is currently at 120 units per month.
- Starlink, SpaceX's ambitious project to establish a high-speed internet network from space using a constellation of 12,000 satellites, is revolutionizing the telecommunications industry.
The current challenge for the company lies in satellite deployment. Despite Falcon 9 rockets being able to launch 60 satellites at a time, it is still insufficient for the network's needs. Therefore, SpaceX is ramping up efforts to deploy the Starship spacecraft, which can carry up to 400 satellites per launch. SpaceX expects Starlink to generate enough revenue to fund both research and development as well as rocket development. A Wall Street Journal analysis last year revealed that SpaceX predicts around 40 million Starlink subscribers by 2025, generating approximately $30 billion in revenue.
