If someone were to ask me why I chose to study abroad in Russia rather than elsewhere, I would undoubtedly answer, 'Russia is the country I love and long to set foot in.' Since I was a child, my parents often told me about the people and life in the land of the white nights. Both of them have studied in Russia, so they have a profound understanding of this place. Moreover, Russia is where they met and fell in love. Therefore, deep within my heart, Russia is a beautiful and romantic country. I want to go there to hear the melody of the song 'Katyusha,' witness the Winter Palace, and, most importantly, study and research at MGU - the most prestigious university in Russia.
After reading the criteria of the university, I feel that I meet all the requirements for application. Firstly, I am currently studying Literature at a specialized high school in Northern Vietnam. Despite being in the social sciences, I don't neglect natural science subjects. I always try to balance and study all subjects evenly. Therefore, my academic results are consistently good. Besides, I actively participate and achieve high results in provincial and national literature competitions. To prepare for future studies abroad, I have been diligently learning foreign languages, including Russian and English, for a long time. Currently, my proficiency in Russian and English is at the TRKI-1 and IELTS 6.5 levels. Due to frequent communication with native speakers on online platforms, I have good speaking and listening skills.
From ancient times, my ancestors have taught, reminded, and advised, 'Learning goes hand in hand with doing.' Following this teaching, in addition to studying, I also actively participate in social activities. During summer vacations, I often go to a mountainous district in Northern Vietnam with brothers, sisters, and friends to do volunteer work.
