2. Speech: Discussing the phenomenon of some individuals lacking filial piety towards their grandparents or parents
Hello, everyone. I am Ngoc Huyen. Today, I would like to share my reflections on the 'Phenomenon of some individuals lacking filial piety towards their grandparents or parents.'
Firstly, in my perspective, everyone among us is taught and understands the significance of the term 'filial piety.' However, alongside those who live with respect for the elders in the family, there are some who lack filial piety towards their grandparents or parents. They behave rudely and improperly towards their relatives. Some even heartlessly abandon their elderly parents to a difficult and struggling life. There are individuals who resort to violence against those who gave them life and raised them. All these cases go against morality and contradict ethical values.
Dear friends, there's a Vietnamese proverb that goes, 'One heart worships the mother, respects the father / Only when you fulfill filial duties can you truly be a good child.' We, who live in love and affection, must fulfill our responsibilities and duties towards our parents and grandparents. Everyone should know how to respect, love, and show courtesy to the adults in the family. Additionally, we should pay more attention and share with our grandparents and parents. Diligent studying and nurturing ethics are ways for us, as students, to express our filial piety.
Above is my presentation on 'The phenomenon of some people not knowing filial piety towards grandparents or parents.' Through this presentation, I hope that everyone will live with love, respect, and gratitude towards those who gave us life and taught us.
I would like to thank the teacher and all of you for listening. I sincerely hope to receive constructive feedback to make the presentation more complete.

Hello, teacher and classmates. I'm Hà. In today's lesson, I'd like to share my thoughts and emotions about the content and artistry of a four or five-line poem in Literature 7 - Kite. Among the three poems we've studied, namely 'Mother' (Đỗ Trung Quân), 'The Old Handyman' (Vũ Đình Liên), and 'Noon Rooster's Crow' (Xuân Quỳnh), my favorite is 'Noon Rooster's Crow.' The poem's uniqueness in content and artistic form has left a profound impression on my grandmother-grandchild relationship.
Firstly, I sense a deep grandmother-grandchild relationship in the poem. The noon rooster's crow on the marching road 'On the distant marching road/ Halting by a small village/ The rooster crows, whose voice is it?' awakens the child's memories of childhood and the grandmother. After years away from home, hearing the familiar crowing 'Coo... coo... our rooster,' the child nostalgically recalls moments with the grandmother. The child remembers the responsible and meticulous grandmother, carefully saving every pink egg 'To hatch hen chicks.' Then, when the chicks grew, the grandmother diligently cared for them to earn money for the child's new clothes 'For selling the chickens at year-end/ So I get new clothes.' The grandmother taught and nurtured the child throughout childhood. Feeling the vast love of the grandmother, the child always stands firm in the fight for the homeland. The child's love for the grandmother harmonizes with love for the homeland, becoming a motivation for the child in challenging times of war.
In addition to the outstanding content, what impressed me in the poem 'Noon Rooster's Crow' is the uniqueness in artistic form. Vivid and emotional language, familiar and intimate poetic images, combined with the repeated metaphor 'noon rooster's crow,' contribute to the allure of the work. Furthermore, the poem employs various literary devices like allegory and emotional transformation 'Whose voice is it?/ Coo... coo... our rooster/ Hears a disturbance in the noon sun...' and comparisons 'Feathers shimmering like sunlight.'
The grandmother-grandchild relationship in the poem reminded me of the sacred family bond. The work evoked thoughts about my beloved grandmother, making me cherish the memories with her even more.
Here is my presentation. I appreciate your attention, teacher and classmates.
