II. Speaking and Listening Presentation: Present your opinion on a life issue for reference
1. Speaking and Listening Presentation 1: Present your opinion on kindness, compassion.
Greetings, teacher and classmates of class 7A1. I'm Hau. Today, I'd like to share my thoughts on kindness and compassion. These are virtues that each of us needs to have.
First of all, let me explain what 'Kindness and Compassion' mean. In my understanding, a kind-hearted person always loves, sympathizes, and understands everyone around them. Compassion means caring, not being selfish or narrow-minded with others. So, kindness and compassion are two beautiful virtues, showing the goodness and love of human hearts.
Our ancestors have advised us for generations:
'Love the pumpkin and love the calabash alike,
Though different in shapes, they share the same vine.'
Listening and embracing those teachings, we have learned to live with love, care, and sharing towards others. In daily life, kindness and compassion are manifested through behavior and actions. People with kindness and compassion always love, care for, and help others. They are willing to give love without expecting repayment or receiving back. When someone faces difficulties, they wholeheartedly help and create conditions to correct mistakes. In relationships with friends, relatives, those who are kind and compassionate always live in a friendly manner and treat others with sincere hearts. They empathize, encourage, and comfort others when they encounter difficulties.
When we learn how to love and be compassionate, we become more complete in our personalities. Not only that, kindness and compassion also help us to influence those around us, so they can have faith in themselves and in life. When everyone's soul contains kindness and compassion, society becomes more beautiful and civilized.
Besides those with pure souls, there are still some people who live selfishly, indifferent, and cold-hearted to the pain of others. In the complex situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, 2021, many pharmacies took advantage of the opportunity to profit by raising the prices of masks and rapid test kits. This caused a lot of anxiety among the people. When the epidemic occurred, they couldn't go out to work, but essential supplies were blatantly inflated. It can be seen that the actions above went against the loving and compassionate way of life of our nation.
Above is my presentation on kindness and compassion. I hope that after today's lesson, we will learn to live with love and tolerance towards everyone. I believe that when you give sincerely, you will also receive the same in return.
Thank you, teacher and classmates, for listening.

2. Speech and Listening: Presenting opinions on an issue in life number 2: Presenting my views on courage.
Hello, teacher and classmates. Let me introduce myself, I'm Thao - the 30th out of 40 members of class 7B. Today, in our speaking and listening class, I'd like to share some thoughts on courage - this is a precious quality of human beings in all ages.
For me, courage is about not being afraid of hardships, dangers, and always being ready to face challenges. Those with courage won't be intimidated by the failures and difficulties of life. They dare to stand up and fight for the interests of themselves and the group.
Friends, courage is a noble quality that humans need to cultivate. Only when we develop courage can we overcome our own fears and reach success.
Throughout history, whenever the country faced invasion, the spirit of courage has been authentically demonstrated. The images of generals and people in each dynasty being brave and resilient against northern invaders over thousands of years of history have left a profound impression on me. It's Ngô Quyền defeating the Southern Han army on the Bạch Đằng River, it's General Lý Thường Kiệt's victory against the Song army on the Như Nguyệt River, and many other national heroes. Or in the resistance against the French and the Americans, the soldiers - Uncle Hồ's troops fought bravely and were willing to sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the homeland. Today, that spirit continues to be upheld by police officers, soldiers who are guarding the country's borders day and night, maintaining social order and security.
However, there are still some cowardly individuals in society who dare not face challenges. They dare not fight for the interests of themselves and the collective. When faced with difficulties, they choose to give up rather than seek solutions.
Therefore, courage is a quality that everyone needs to cultivate for themselves. Let's cultivate the spirit of courage from the smallest actions!
My presentation ends here. I thank the teacher and my classmates for paying attention. Everyone's feedback and suggestions are important for making my presentation more complete and refined.
3. Speech and Listening: Presenting Opinions on an Issue in Life Number 3: Presenting My Views on Patriotism.
Greetings, teacher and fellow classmates of 7A2. My name is Ngoc Vy. Today, I'd like to share my thoughts and reflections on patriotism. As you can see, patriotism always resides in our hearts. It's a sacred emotion that each of us holds for our motherland.
So, what is patriotism to you? To me, patriotism is the love that people have for their homeland, their motherland, stemming from the smallest and simplest things: love for family, love for the community, love for the culture and history of the nation, love for traditions, customs, and practices...
President Ho Chi Minh once said, 'Our people have a deep love for the country. That is the precious tradition of our nation.' Indeed, from ancient times to the present, patriotism has always run deep in the hearts of every Vietnamese, vividly expressed in every era.
During times of fierce war, patriotism is expressed more than ever. We witness images of soldiers, including farmers, students, and workers, willingly leaving their homeland, their families, to join the army, entering intense battlefields. They fearlessly sacrifice their youth and blood to protect every inch of the nation's land 'Determined to sacrifice for the Fatherland'. Or patriotism is also depicted through the image of the homeland, where people diligently work and produce to supply the front lines with the slogan 'Rice never lacks a grain. Soldiers never lack a man'.
In times of peace, patriotism is manifested through our collective efforts to build a prosperous nation, as Uncle Ho once said 'Whether Vietnam becomes beautiful or not [...] largely depends on your study and work'. Moreover, many young people demonstrate their patriotism by reviving and developing the cultural traditions left by our ancestors: learning about Vietnamese traditional costumes; creating informative and interesting historical channels,... Additionally, on significant national holidays like September 2nd and April 30th, every household hangs the national flag to commemorate.
Everyone among us feels a deep love for the country. However, some individuals in today's society have misguided thoughts, failing to realize their responsibility to the homeland.
Thus, patriotism is a factor that nurtures the soul, motivating individuals to be responsible for their families, homeland, and country. Therefore, each of us needs to continuously strive to learn, cultivate ethics, and contribute to the nation.
Above is my presentation about patriotism. I sincerely hope to receive feedback and contributions from everyone. Thank you very much.
4. Speech and Listening Presenting opinions on an issue in life number 4: Presenting my views on the role of emotion and education in the family
Hello, teacher and classmates of 7A. I'm Hai. Today, I would like to share my thoughts and feelings about the 'Role of emotion and education in the family'. I hope that through this presentation, each of us will love and cherish our family more.
Firstly, living in the love of family members will nurture beautiful souls. Family is like a spiritual refuge in life, where each individual turns to after difficulties, hardships, or failures outside.
Next, the family is our first school. Meaningful lessons are conveyed through the lullabies of grandmothers and mothers. Or it's the father's teachings about moral values. It can be said that the family is the environment directly influencing the formation and development of each individual's personality.
President Ho Chi Minh once said, 'A good family makes a good society, many good families together make society better.' But not everyone understands His teachings about the role of emotion and education in the family. Today, we still encounter the problem of domestic violence. A family where spouses are in discord, parents abuse their children, siblings conflict due to contradictions, personal interests, then that is not a proper family. First of all, domestic violence causes injuries such as broken limbs, brain injuries, bruises due to accumulated blood, ... Not only that, it also causes fear in the psyche, haunting individuals throughout their lives. And from here, the family is no longer a loving shelter but becomes a nightmare.
So, what should be done to make the family always happy and full of love? To answer this question, each person needs to be aware of their responsibility to the family. Let's live with love, care, and concern for relatives. We should express our feelings in both words and actions such as: greeting parents before going to school, giving warm hugs to someone when they are sad, ... Each individual also needs to protect family members and honor their family's dignity.
My presentation on the 'Role of emotion and education in the family' ends here. Through this, let's draw deep lessons about our responsibility to our families.
I eagerly look forward to receiving feedback from you and my classmates to improve my speech.
From the references above, let's be more conscious in cultivating and nurturing good qualities and virtues: love, compassion; courage, patriotism... Hopefully, when studying Literature, we will draw many useful and meaningful lessons for ourselves.
