During the PlayStation 5
Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and SackBoy: A Big Adventure have stepped beyond the exclusive realm for PS5 and will also be present on the previous console when they debut.
Jim Ryan, CEO and President of Sony Interactive Entertainment, shared insights on this change: 'We understand that the PS4 community will transition to PS5 at different times, and we are delighted to announce the PS4 versions of some of our exclusive titles. While these three games are designed to leverage the advantages of PS5 and its unique next-gen features like the high-speed SSD and DualSense game controller, all PS4 owners will still be able to enjoy these experiences upon their release,' he added.
Sony is providing free upgrade options for those choosing the PS4 version of these three games. Anyone purchasing digital editions for PlayStation 4 will be eligible for the PlayStation 5 version. However, upgrading the physical version of the game will require a PlayStation 5 with a Blu-Ray drive.
