Spiritfarer is a game about commemorating life. As you encounter these spirits and fulfill their final requests, you'll learn what they like, dislike, who they are, and what they've done. According to the developers, the stories of these spirits are inspired by the loved ones of each member in the development team.
Among the spirits, you'll meet Gweb - the deer spirit and Stella's closest friend. Atul is Stella's frog spirit, always cheerful, hungry, and ready to provide warm hugs. And Summer - the snake spirit, who taught Stella the importance of gardening as well as connecting with the earth and one's inner self.
In terms of gameplay, it's safe to say that the development team threw everything but the kitchen sink into Spiritfarer. Adventure, exploration, dialogue, minigames, crafting, cooking, fishing, farming, and more, Spiritfarer has it all. Some may call it a 'mixed bag,' but the developers refer to it as a beautiful blend of creative game design. Game modes seamlessly intertwine, allowing players to engage in and maximize various management activities. Just beware of sharks and pandas as they're always trying to snatch the hard-earned Glims from you. Quick tip, Glims are the game's currency unit.
