From December 1-12, airlines will increase the frequency of various domestic routes. Notably, routes such as Hanoi - Da Nang, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City will experience substantial increases to meet year-end travel demand.
Starting December 1, domestic airlines boost the frequency of their domestic flights.
Bamboo Airways

As per the allocation by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in December 2021, Bamboo Airways plans to increase the frequency of many routes compared to the trial period. Specifically, in the first half of December 2021, the airline will increase the frequency of the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City route to 3 – 4 round trips/day and advance to operating 4-5 round trips/day from December 15.
The routes Hanoi – Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang will be operated with a frequency of 2-3 round trips/day.
Simultaneously, Bamboo Airways increases the frequency to a maximum of 2 round trips/day for other routes. This includes many tourist routes such as from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc, Hanoi – Cam Ranh… and local routes such as Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh, Thanh Hoa…
Vietjet

Vietjet Airlines announced that from December 1, it will increase the frequency of flights on routes Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi – Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang, and is expected to increase to 6 round trips/day on these main routes from December 15.
In addition, Vietjet continues to operate stably across its flight network covering all of Vietnam, connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang to provinces and cities nationwide such as Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Hanoi – Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, to meet the travel needs of the people while complying with disease prevention regulations and directives from the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Authority, and relevant agencies.
Especially, Vietjet continues to support free rapid Covid-19 testing for all passengers flying from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, along with many attractive promotional programs during the year-end festive season.
Conditions for air passengers
Regarding the conditions for air passengers, the Ministry of Transport maintains the basic regulations as currently. Specifically, in cases where passengers reside, stay in areas with level 4 outbreaks or medical isolation zones (lockdown), passengers on flights originating from areas with level 4 outbreaks or passengers on flights originating from Tan Son Nhat, Can Tho airports must have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 using the RT-PCR method or rapid antigen test valid within 72 hours from the time of sample collection to before the flight departure.
Other passengers must meet 1 of 3 conditions: have a certificate of full COVID-19 vaccination, the last dose administered at least 14 days and not more than 12 months before the flight departure; those with a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 or hospital discharge within 6 months before the flight departure; individuals with a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 using the RT-PCR method or rapid antigen test valid within 72 hours from the time of sample collection to before the flight departure.
Passengers are not allowed to join the flight if they have symptoms such as cough, fever, difficulty breathing, muscle pain, sore throat, loss of taste...
The Ministry of Transport supplements the uniform content on health declaration, where passengers must complete health declaration via the PC-COVID application, take responsibility for the truthfulness of the declared information; in case passengers have not completed the declaration, the airline is responsible for arranging staff and equipment to support, guide passengers in installing and declaring on the PC-COVID application.
