A Canadian teenager has been arrested on charges of pilfering a staggering 36.5 million USD (nearly 860 billion VND) worth of cryptocurrency.

According to the latest information from local police in Hamilton, Canada, they have apprehended the suspect in the 36.5 million USD cryptocurrency theft. This is the largest reported cryptocurrency theft from an individual victim.
The suspect in this case is a teenager living in Canada. The police tracked down the suspect through suspicious transactions in an electronic game. A large amount of money poured into the game account raised suspicions, leading the police to follow the trail. Fortunately for the victim, most of the money has not been spent by the perpetrator. However, the funds poured into the game are substantial and almost impossible to recover for the affected individual.
According to the police, the perpetrator used a sim-swapping technique to bypass the two-factor authentication of the virtual currency account. After stealing information such as passwords and account details, the perpetrator cunningly infiltrated and stole a large sum of money.
Virtual currency can be a goldmine if mined correctly, but jumping into the market without knowledge and a strong mindset can make you easy prey for scammers.
