How to activate your digital identification account on a computer
Step 1: Visit VNeID website and easily access activation by clicking the link below, then click on 'Activate Account' button.

Step 2: Enter your identification number (ID number) and phone number used for registration, then click Submit request.
If you have previously created an account, a notification will appear stating 'Your account has been activated'.
Step 3: At this point, your phone will receive an OTP code message from VNeID. Enter this OTP code into the verification code input box and then click Confirm, note that the OTP code is valid for only 3 minutes.
Step 4: Now it's time to create a password. Create a password following the principles described below, make sure to enter the same password in both fields. After entering the password, click Confirm.
Step 5: The next step is to create a passcode, which is a password you'll need when using VNeID applications. Passcodes only use digits from 0 to 9. After entering the passcode, click Confirm.
Step 6: After creating the passcode, the next step is to set up a security question. Here, there will be predefined questions, choose two questions and provide answers. Note that you must remember the questions and answers you entered for future account recovery. Once completed, click Confirm.
Step 7: At this point, the screen will display a notification 'You have successfully activated your digital identification account'. Click Continue.
Step 8: The screen will return you to the account login interface, enter your ID number and the password you just created, then click Login.
Step 9: A window will appear to enter the OTP code. This code will be sent to your phone, retrieve it and enter it before it expires. Otherwise, the code will become invalid. Then you will be directed to the Ministry of Public Security's website. That's it, activation is complete.
