Logging into your VNPT network modem allows you to configure advanced settings such as changing your Wi-Fi password, renaming your Wi-Fi, or setting up NAT and opening ports. Let's dive into the following guide.
1. Default password for VNPT modem
For the VNPT optical modem iGate GW040, the default username and password are located on the bottom of the modem and you need to flip it over to see them. To log in, open your web browser, enter the address 192.168.1.1, and log in with the following information:
Username: admin
Password: admin
or
Username: root
Password: admin
2. Logging into VNPT modem
To secure your modem from unauthorized access, the technician will change the default password of the modem. You can contact the hotline or check the accompanying sticker or note written on the front of the modem by the technician during installation. Modem passwords are typically set according to the following rule:
vnpt@Customer code
Vnpt@Fault code
Vnpt@Device serial number
After obtaining the password, open a web browser and enter the address 192.168.1.1. Next, enter the default username which is admin (1), input the provided password (2), and click Log in (3).
After successfully logging in, the modem interface will be displayed as shown below.
