Ingredients:
- Young tofu: 1 packet (250g - 300g)
- Fresh shiitake mushrooms (shiitake): 100g
- Spring onions: 1 stalk
- Coriander: 1 large stalk
- Seasonings: oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt, sesame oil
- Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon
How to Make Tofu with Mushroom Sauce:
Step 1:
- Soak the shiitake mushrooms, remove the stems, wash thoroughly, then soak in diluted salt water for about 15 minutes and rinse again.

- Gently wash the young tofu taken from the packaging to prevent it from breaking.
- Use a knife to cut the young tofu into thick round slices about 0.5cm thick, then arrange them on a plate.

- Use food wrap or cover tightly and steam using a steamer or microwave for about 2 minutes until cooked through.
- Alternatively, you can fully cook the young tofu by briefly dipping it in boiling water with a pinch of salt.
- After soaking, remove the mushrooms and let them drain, then thinly slice.
- Wash and clean the spring onions and coriander, discarding any old or wilted leaves and roots. Then finely chop, paying attention to the white part of the spring onion to separate.
Step 2:
Heat a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. When the oil is hot, add the white part of the onion and sauté until fragrant.
Then add the shiitake mushrooms and stir-fry until cooked, add ½ tablespoon of oyster sauce and ½ tablespoon of soy sauce, stir well.
Dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water until smooth, then add to the skillet, stirring constantly. Season with spices according to your family's taste preference.
Once the mushrooms are cooked, turn off the heat, add chopped spring onions and cilantro, and mix well.

Place the sautéed mushrooms onto a plate of steamed young tofu, spoon the sauce evenly over the tofu pieces to allow them to absorb the flavors. This mushroom sauce tofu dish is best enjoyed hot, straight from the kitchen. Wishing you success and delightful meals with your family!
