Performance of iPhone 11 still easily meets all usage needs

Before diving into the detailed review, let me quickly go over the specifications of the iPhone 11:

• CPU: Apple A13 Bionic.
• GPU: Apple-GPU (4-core graphics).
• RAM: 4 GB.
• Internal Storage: 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB (I'm using the 64 GB variant).
• Operating System: iOS 15.

Performance is a point that I believe Apple fans will be very proud of because we all know that the lifespan of an iPhone is quite long, possibly up to 4 - 5 years. After nearly 3 years of using the iPhone 11, I can confidently say that this statement is accurate, not just empty talk! At the moment, every task I perform on the iPhone 11 provides smooth and stable experiences. Despite being released quite a while ago, the iPhone 11 still handles all my usage needs effortlessly. To help you better understand the power of the iPhone 11, let's dive into the performance evaluation of this device!

iPhone 11 Performance Evaluation

In this section, I'll also use some familiar software like GeekBench 5, 3DMark, and Antutu Benchmark to evaluate the performance of the iPhone 11. The conditions for evaluation are as follows:

• The device battery must be between 90 – 100%.
• No charging during the evaluation process.
• Evaluate 3 times consecutively and take the average result after 3 evaluations.

The first two software I used to evaluate the performance of the iPhone 11 are GeekBench 5 and Antutu Benchmark. Here are the results I obtained:

• Antutu Benchmark: 556,492 points.
• GeekBench 5: Single-core: 1,330 points, Multi-core: 3,105 points.

Although the iPhone 11 is quite aged, it still delivers excellent performance, not inferior to other smartphones in the same segment. Specifically, in the GeekBench 5 test, the iPhone 11 scored 1,330 points in single-core and 3,105 points in multi-core. Moreover, in the Antutu Benchmark test, the device scored an impressive 556,492 points. Next, let's move on to a more demanding test, Wild Life Extreme. In this test, the iPhone 11 continues to impress with a high score of 1,696 points and an average frame rate of 10.2 FPS.

Now, I'll use the iPhone 11 to test its stability and temperature using the Wild Life Extreme Stress Test (this test will automatically repeat 20 times). The results I obtained are shown below, pay attention to the Stability section!

In this final test, the iPhone 11 performs quite well with a stability rating of 77%. I consider this score to be very satisfactory because in real-world usage, the iPhone 11 operates smoothly and seamlessly in most tasks I perform on the device. Additionally, after undergoing such a rigorous test, the iPhone 11's battery has dropped by about 8% (decreasing from 95% to 87%).

Overall, looking at the scores, we can see that the performance of the iPhone 11 is impressive. However, these numbers are only for reference; the most important aspect is the real-world experience. Gaming Experience on iPhone 11

In the following section, I'll be using the iPhone 11 to experience gaming with some popular titles such as Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty, and Genshin Impact. Additionally, I'll be using the Perfdog software to measure the frame rates of each game, and I'll provide the related data here for your reference.

In the game Arena of Valor, my iPhone 11 can easily handle graphics settings at the highest level, as you can see in the image below.

For this national game, the iPhone 11 still performs excellently. The device delivers a smooth gaming experience, maintaining a stable frame rate of 60 FPS. Moreover, the graphics in the game are reproduced very well, leaving no room for complaints.

- PUBG Mobile

Next up, let's delve into a survival shooter game that once dominated the gaming scene for quite some time, PUBG Mobile. For this game, my iPhone 11 can be set to Ultra HD graphics and Extreme frame rate. However, to achieve the smoothest experience, I'll reduce the graphics to HDR level as shown below.

In PUBG Mobile, the iPhone 11 still provides incredibly smooth experiences. Every action, whether it's moving, driving, aiming, or intense moments of running, I haven't noticed any frame drops or lag whatsoever. Additionally, the graphics in the game are beautifully detailed, with a stable average frame rate of around 59 - 60 FPS.

- Call of Duty Mobile

Alongside PUBG Mobile, another graphics-intensive shooter game that I equally enjoy is Call of Duty Mobile. For this game, I'll set the graphics to the highest level.

Throughout the gameplay, iPhone 11 delivers a very good experience with an average frame rate maintained around 60 FPS. Overall, with graphics as demanding as PUBG Mobile, I rate the performance of iPhone 11 in playing Call of Duty Mobile as highly impressive, providing smooth and visually captivating shooting experiences.

- Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is the final and heaviest game that I want to experience on iPhone 11. With a game known as a hardware killer, how will iPhone 11 perform? In this game, I'll set the graphics to the lowest level as shown below to experience Genshin Impact in the most stable way.

Regarding the gaming experience, I find iPhone 11 can handle this game relatively well. However, in some moments when I execute skills with complex effects, the game's frame rate drops to only 10 FPS, and iPhone 11 also gets a bit warm after playing Genshin Impact for a while. On the bright side, the frame rate when playing Genshin Impact on iPhone 11 is much better than some other smartphones in the same segment, specifically around 57 FPS.

In terms of gaming experience on iPhone 11, I personally feel very satisfied. The device delivers smooth, stable gaming sessions with good graphic processing capabilities, vivid image reproduction, and smooth transition effects. Moreover, I notice that the temperature of iPhone 11 during prolonged gaming only slightly warms up.

iPhone 11 Battery Lasts Over 6 Hours Continuously

Regarding the battery capacity, iPhone 11 is equipped with a 3,110 mAh battery. If you glance at some Android products, you might exclaim 'oh my!' immediately due to the modest battery capacity. However, hold on for a moment and don't rush to judge based solely on the numbers, because iPhone, despite its lower battery capacity, is optimized extremely well. To prove this, I will proceed to test its battery using the familiar battery test (according to the standards of TGDĐ), with the following specific conditions:

• Experience 4 rotating tasks including: playing Liên Quân (with graphics settings as shown below), watching YouTube, browsing Facebook, and using the Safari browser.

• Each task lasts for 1 hour.
• Screen brightness is set to 100%.
• Wired headphones plugged in and volume set to 100%.
• Wi-Fi and social media notifications enabled.
• Battery saver, adaptive brightness, GPS, and Bluetooth are all turned off.
• Testing from 100% to 0% battery.

Here are the results:

After the rigorous test, I'm quite satisfied because iPhone 11 can endure for more than 6 hours. However, in real-world usage, there will likely be differences compared to the test process, so the specific battery life of the iPhone 11 will depend heavily on the tasks you perform on the device. If you use light tasks, the iPhone 11 will have longer battery life, but when gaming or using 4G for network connection, battery life will undoubtedly decrease.

iPhone 11 camera still meets my photo shooting needs at the current time

Before diving into assessing the image quality that the camera cluster on the iPhone 11 can deliver, let's quickly go over some of their specifications.

• Wide-angle camera: 12 MP resolution.
• Ultra-wide-angle camera: 12 MP resolution.

Besides performance, the camera cluster of the iPhone 11 is also an impressive feature of this phone. In my opinion, the dual-camera setup on the iPhone 11 captures very beautiful photos, especially in well-lit conditions.

Firstly, in well-lit conditions, it seems like there's no difficulty in capturing photos from the iPhone 11, which delivers sharp and true-to-life colors, similar to the traditional style of iPhone cameras. Sometimes, overly realistic colors might not be visually appealing to some, but I personally appreciate this, and if you prefer more vibrant colors, you can easily adjust them using photo editing tools.

Additionally, photos taken with the wide-angle camera of the iPhone 11 also maintain a quality not much inferior to the main camera. Overall, the photos remain vivid and sharp, with colors not deviating too much from the real-life scene.

I've quickly experienced some portrait-mode photos taken by the camera cluster on the iPhone 11. As you can see below, the subject and the background are adequately separated, making the flower in the photo stand out. Another aspect I particularly like about taking such portrait-mode photos is that small details of the object are not blurred out.

In low-light conditions, photos exhibit good brightness and detail, with minimal overexposure and no noticeable noise. While colors may be slightly muted, the level of detail remains excellent.

The design of the iPhone 11 remains contemporary and elegant.

Apple's products always stand out with a distinct design that is simple yet incredibly appealing. The iPhone 11 is no exception, featuring the iconic square camera module with cameras arranged in what users affectionately call 'bubble tea pearls' or '3-eyed iPhone.' It's a distinguishing feature that catches the eye immediately.

Despite being the most affordable model in the iPhone 11 Series trio, the design of the device is anything but cheap. The iPhone 11 boasts premium materials like the glossy glass back and sturdy aluminum frame. Additionally, it's the last Apple product to feature curved edges, making it comfortable and easy to hold. In my opinion, this is a strong point of the iPhone 11 compared to Apple's later products.

One downside I find on the iPhone 11 is its use of a glossy glass back instead of matte glass like on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Because of the glossy back, the phone is prone to sweat and fingerprint smudges. Turning to the front, we still have the familiar notch display, and because it's the cheapest version, the iPhone 11 has thicker screen bezels compared to its siblings. If you've used Apple's premium models before, switching to the iPhone 11 might feel a bit disappointing.
