Then, your opponent takes turns countering the actions you performed. In each round, you and your opponent select different spacetime operatives to join the battle, creating a grand climax at the end of the match where your entire team faces off against the entire opposing team.
What's truly fascinating about Lemnis Gate is the gameplay in every moment; how you think while playing is genuinely something new. In a typical shooter, your eyes see what appears on the screen, and you react to what's happening in the current moment. In Lemnis Gate, you must consider what has happened in the past, what is happening in the present, and what might happen in the future. That's four-dimensional combat.
Imagine something as simple as a grenade: you throw it into a room, and it explodes. In a time loop, unless interfered with, that grenade will explode in that room at that moment in the same repetitive way until the end of the match.
You can use this to your advantage, predicting where your opponent might appear in the future and tossing grenades at crucial intersections on the map. Your opponent may realize they are in the wrong position at the wrong time and be eliminated by the grenade you threw in the past.
But it doesn't stop there. Your opponent, seeking revenge, might intercept your character before you throw the grenade, alter the timeline, removing that grenade from existence right from the start. This means the opponent's character killed by your grenade will never die.
