Recently, citizens can now register for voluntary social insurance online directly from their phones or computers at home, thanks to Decision 49/QĐ-BHXH 2023. So how does the online registration process for voluntary social insurance work? Let's find out.
1. How to Register for Voluntary Social Insurance Online via Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal
Step 1: First, access the website of the Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal at the link provided below for easier navigation.
After accessing the website, the next step is to log in to the system using your social insurance account. Click on the Login button at the top right corner of the screen, then proceed to log in. Next, select the Declare Profile section.
Step 2: In the declaration category, locate and select the declaration icon next to the sequence number of the Registration, Re-registration item 'Registration, re-registration (including retroactive payment for unpaid periods), adjustment of payment method, basis for voluntary social insurance payment'. On the next screen, you need to fill in all the required information into the blank fields.
Step 3: Finally, after filling out the form, enter the correct verification code above into the Retype verification code box and click Confirm. Immediately after, you will receive instructions for voluntary social insurance payment according to the guidelines and also receive notification about the time to collect the social insurance card.
2. How to Register for Voluntary Social Insurance Online via the National Public Service Portal
Step 1: The first thing you need to do is access the National Public Service Portal via the link below. Then log in to the system by clicking on the three-bar menu icon at the top right corner of the screen > select Login > use your National Public Service Portal account to log in to the system to continue.
Step 2: Next, in the search box, search for the phrase 'Register, re-register, adjust payment method, basis for voluntary social insurance payment' and select it as shown below. Then, you will read the information in this category and the system will display an Online Submission button. You can click on it and proceed with filling in information, confirmation, payment, and receiving results similar to the process on the Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal.
