Microsoft has brought a new function to Excel. The Excel function is designed to help users visualize historical stock data for a company over time. Called STOCKHISTORY, the new function leverages the Stocks data type and the recently added Dynamic Array feature to retrieve stock values on different days and list them all.

For those unfamiliar, Dynamic Arrays allow formulas to return multiple results for a cell on a worksheet based on a formula entered in a cell. Capabilities include functions like SORT, FILTER, and more, but currently STOCKHISTORY is also leveraging it to display historical stock data.
The Excel function can be used with multiple arguments allowing you to specify the data you want to see. The stock argument defines which company or financial instrument you want data for and it can also be used to specify which exchange to get data from; start_date defines the first point in time when data needs to be collected; end_date defines the endpoint you want data for and it's optional, interval defines whether you want to get data daily, weekly, or monthly, and it's also optional, this field is set to daily by default; and headings allows users to create additional header rows needed for the results returned by the function. Additionally, there are 5 attributes that can be added to select which information to include, such as date, open or close value, high, low, and volume.
The new STOCKHISTORY function is now available to Microsoft 365 users in the Beta channel, known as the Office Insider Fast ring on Windows devices before the name change was announced. This function will reach all users in the near future.
Android users have been eagerly anticipating the next version of this operating system for quite some time, but it wasn't until recently that Google unveiled the information. It's known that Google has released the first official Android 11 Beta with many notable updates.
