Introduction to the Bug Catastrophe

The Simulation Universe mode has introduced a new gameplay stage called the Bug Catastrophe (THDCT). This mode will immerse gamers into different dimensional areas with the purpose of exploring Tayzzyronth and the swarms of 'hostile insects' he created. In this stage, you will not only accompany Herta but also meet other IPC characters such as Screwllum in both 'doll' and human forms.

THDCT allows gamers to play all 3 dimensional stages with 6 different difficulty levels. The gameplay of this new mode doesn't have much difference; every time you clear a dimensional stage through encounters, the cells (game stages) will have thicker frequency and higher difficulty. Additionally, you must carefully calculate the number of turns because when the turns run out, the monsters will significantly strengthen after each stage entry, and the turns will not be restored when moving to the next dimensional stage. 

New Elements Impacting the Simulation Universe Overall 

Aeon Tayzzyronth - Hostile Insect Tactics

A brand new Aeon makes its debut appearance in the final showdown of the first playthrough in the Bug Disaster. According to the storyline, Tayzzyronth was born out of loneliness, bringing terror with its self-replicating power.

The blessings of Life bring forth a plethora of effects when equipped, ranging from health regeneration, damage amplification, to shield recovery akin to basic blessings. Tayzzyronth's uniqueness lies in the ability to self-generate SP for 2-3 star blessings, making it highly suitable for characters heavily reliant on SP at present like Qingque, Dan Heng - Ẩm Nguyệt, or even Blade.

23 new exotic artifacts - the meta 'money-grabbers' emerge

Exotic artifacts are crucial elements aiding players' lineups to victory. Hoyoverse has introduced 23 new exotic artifacts with 'familiar yet unique' functions for fellow gamers, namely:

• Triangle Musical Instrument: When selecting Destiny in the 1st or 2nd Panel, an additional enhanced Blessing corresponding to Destiny can be chosen once.
• Silver Splitting Currency: Immediately receive Universe Fragments equivalent to 50% of the current Universe Fragments.
• Broken Cuckoo Clock: Accumulate the consumption of a certain amount of Universe Fragments while having the Cuckoo Clock of the company to receive this Exotic Artifact, and immediately obtain 999 Universe Fragments.
• Family Crest Ribbon: Increase 30% damage dealt by all allies for each destroyed exotic artifact.
• Epoch Badge: Immediately receive 1 random 3-star Blessing, when entering the 'Event' area in the next round, no events will be encountered. After activating once, this Exotic Artifact will be destroyed.
• Black Hole Trap: Upon victory, whenever a character on our side with current HP equal to its own HP Limit exists, receive 10 Universe Fragments.

These blessings unveil a plethora of new, exotic metas, particularly the 'money-grabbing' or 'gacha within gacha' meta from the Broken Cuckoo Clock or the Planetary Lottery + Galaxy Lottery. Furthermore, if all these Exotic Artifacts are opened, Honkai: Star Rail players will receive an additional 690 Star Crystals.

Selection Interface

In addition to the new content, the Simulation Universe is also updated with other interesting tidbits, such as a simplified interface for viewing blessings during battles, the task selection area is no longer a golden sphere but displays event images directly, appearing relatively intuitive. Another detail is the font change, which helps gamers reduce eye strain.
