Despite striving to emulate Faker, these female gamers have yet to achieve success.
In recent years, Faker has consistently been a prominent figure in the LMHT and Esports community. Many individuals, even those not deeply involved in LMHT, are aware of Faker and his influence. With his fourth World Championship victory recently secured, the reputation of the 'Demon King' continues to grow, reaching a wider audience.

This has led many players to imitate Faker's actions. Recently, at the 2023 VCT Game Changers Championship (the women's VALORANT World Championship), a player made a strong impression by cosplaying as Faker. Specifically, female player Clem, who switched to the EDG team, recreated Faker's iconic entrance gesture from the past to seek luck.

In her post-match interview, EDG's Clem shared, “The idea of flipping into the arena came directly from Faker. He is a huge icon in the world of Esports. I really wanted to show my respect to Faker as I stepped onto the stage.”

Despite replicating Faker's entrance quite well, Clem and her EDG teammates seem to have missed out on luck. Specifically, in the first match of the 2023 VCT Game Changers Championship, EDG clashed with the strong team Shopify Rebellion. This team was the reigning runner-up, so Clem's EDG suffered a swift 0-2 defeat.
In both lost matches, EDG failed to secure 5 rounds against their opponents' complete domination. This is a significant setback for EDG's female team, and they need to regain their spirits quickly to avoid early elimination. Clem and her teammates still have a chance in the loser's bracket, where they will face KRU Blaze in the upcoming match.

One of the most admirable traits of Faker is his relentless spirit to improve himself. Perhaps Clem and EDG's female VALORANT team should also learn from this to find ways to overcome their recent failures.
