Now you can Jailbreak devices running iOS 8.x to iOS 8.1 using the latest version of Pangu tool. However, this tool only helps you Jailbreak your device and does not install Cydia during this Jailbreak. You need to manually install Cydia.

- To connect your iOS device to a Windows computer, you'll need iTunes 12.0.1 or newer.
* Note: +It's advisable to back up your data to iCloud or to your computer via iTunes before jailbreaking.
+You need to restore iOS 8.1 with iTunes. If you've upgraded from iOS 7.x to iOS 8.x via OTA, you cannot jailbreak.
Step 1: Connect your iPhone to the computer, and launch the Pangu software.
Step 2: Disable all passcodes, Touch ID, and Find My iPhone.
Step 3: Right-click on the Pangu tool on the desktop and select Run as administrator.
Step 4: Uncheck the boxes under the '????,??PP??' line.
Step 5: Connect your device to the computer, then click the green button in the middle to start the jailbreak. Your device will restart several times during the jailbreak process, so be patient and do not disconnect the cable during this time.
Step 6: After successfully jailbreaking, you will see the Pangu icon on the screen. Since this jailbreak tool still has some shortcomings such as not installing Cydia on the device. For installing Cydia, we will need to use command lines, which we will explore in another article that I will introduce to you in the next post.
