Quan Âm Bodhisattva saved Kiều Nguyệt Nga, and she drifted into the garden of the Bùi family. While Bùi Công wanted to adopt her, Bùi Kiệm insisted on marrying her. Kiều Nguyệt Nga fled, seeking refuge with an old woman in the deep forest.
Thanks to a magical elixir, Lục Vân Tiên regained his sight. He hurried back home: visited his father, paid respects at his mother's grave, and visited Kiều Công. He participated in the imperial exam, passed with honors, and was tasked by the king to repel the enemy Ô Qua. On the victorious return, Lục Vân Tiên unexpectedly reunited with Kiều Nguyệt Nga, and they shared both joy and sorrow.
