The total solar eclipse event on October 25, 1995, attracted thousands of tourists to Mui Ne to observe and marvel at the raw beauty of nature in this coastal region. Since then, many scenic spots have been developed to serve tourism in Phan Thiet, including Suoi Tien!
Suoi Tien Mui Ne - A tranquil stream amidst the stunning golden-red valleys
Suoi Tien Mui Ne (or Red Stream) extends 1.8km, originating from Coconut Village, Thiện Nghiệp Commune, flowing through Ham Tien Ward before emptying into the sea. Suoi Tien may just be a small stream hidden behind the golden-red sand dunes, but it exudes a captivating beauty with its reddish-orange water tinted by the sand.

The sand grains, composed of clay mixed with sand, eroded over time, forming various bizarre shapes. The sand here binds together to form rugged cliffs resembling a fairyland. Besides its scenic value, Suoi Tien is highly regarded by geologists for its geological and topographical features.

Suoi Tien has an average depth of only 10cm, and the gentle flow of water allows Phan Thiet tourists to relax as they walk along the stream. In addition to the main stream, there are secondary channels that merge, ensuring Suoi Tien never runs dry. Across from the natural red sand dunes are two contrasting patches of red and white, adorned with lush wild pandanus bushes, creating two distinct color schemes.

On July 5, 2019, the Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee approved the proposal for Greeen Dragon Investment Construction Joint Stock Company to carry out an eco-tourism project in Suoi Tien, aiming to attract tourists and promote the image of the province.
In addition to preserving the current landscape, the investor also installed additional trash bins along the stream, installed warning signs, and established regulations for visitors. In the area at the entrance gate along Huynh Thuc Khang Street, a relatively large area of land is planted with various flowers such as chrysanthemums, daisies, cockscomb flowers, marigolds, paper flowers, and orchids, enhancing the scenery.

Considering the unique and beautiful features mentioned above, why hesitate to visit Suoi Tien when traveling to Phan Thiet to enjoy the rustic beauty filled with vibrant colors from the stream and hundreds of sand dunes? And when you're here, don't forget to experience barefoot walking on the cool sand stream for the most wonderful moments!
