1. Uchiha Itachi
In the Naruto series, Uchiha Itachi is a memorable figure of character, courage, and great sacrifice as a true ninja. He is a genius of the Uchiha clan, a family pride, but his life is anything but peaceful like others. He had to fight, to choose, and to force himself to become a demon, hated by his own beloved younger brother.
He carries a solitary face etched with sorrowful pain and the scars of physical and emotional torment. A person draped in the guise of a clan murderer, losing his humanity for the desire for power and the ambition to possess eternal eyes. But in reality, he is a silent hero sacrificing for the peace of the Leaf Village, for his little brother.
This is the most pitiful and tragic character in Naruto. The pain clings to his life, lasting until Itachi ends his life. He died according to the fate he chose, ending a life full of suffering by the hands of his beloved younger brother. Living without anyone understanding and dying with a gentle smile, that hero made many viewers shed tears, moved and admired.
2. Sesshomaru
He is a formidable demon in Inuyasha, cold, ruthless with piercing eyes and a heart of ice, always proud of his noble bloodline and disdainful of anyone except his deceased father. Sesshomaru is arrogant, a snowflake always alone, devoid of emotions.
However, deep within that heart of steel is a soul always seeking and craving love. For acceptance, to be recognized by his revered father figure, he ruthlessly attacked his half-demon brother to seize the Tessaiga. His life would perhaps remain perpetually solitary in such cold loneliness if the girl Rin did not appear.
Rin is the sun that melts the cold snowflake Sesshomaru, turning a formidable demon into a gentle, loving man. Sesshomaru is one of the most beautiful anime characters, beloved and pitied by audiences, hoping for the best for him.
3. Roronoa Zoro
Zoro makes a striking entrance as a cold-blooded killer, a ruthless demon in rumors but willing to share a meal with a girl even after being trampled in the mud. This image reveals the true nature of a hero, as mighty and noble as Zoro. He deeply respects and remains loyal to Captain Luffy, always standing by his side as a reliable friend whom Luffy can lean on in difficult times.
Zoro always strives to become the strongest to protect both his comrades and himself. He never backs down or fears, always bravely facing challenges. Zoro is the epitome of a masculine figure, knowing how to fight, train, believe in himself, and have his own ideals and principles for life. A 'cool and tough' character, talented and courageous.
4. Levi Ackerman
He is a strict captain, with a perpetually stern face, rough manners, and a particular obsession with cleanliness. But Levi is also an unbeatable warrior, intelligent with sharp thinking, and always brave in protecting his teammates.
Levi is the strongest human warrior when he carries the bloodline of the Ackerman clan. Having witnessed too much pain with a dark and painful past of losing loved ones, he has to endure himself to bravely fulfill his duties and protect peace for humanity. In Attack on Titan, Levi is perhaps the most unfortunate and powerful character, a person deserving of respect and admiration.
5. Gaara
Gaara is the son of the desert, a ninja from the Sand Village, a child with sad eyes always longing for love. He used to be a pitiful villain, only knowing killing for pleasure and living for himself with the kanji character 'Ai' on his forehead symbolizing the idea of a 'demon who only loves himself'. Gaara is a cold and reserved person, a character with emotional scars and the demonic beast Shukaku corroding his soul.
But Gaara is not a demon. His heart still leans towards goodness, and Naruto has awakened Gaara's human nature. After being defeated by Naruto, he felt empathy because Naruto understood his pain. Gaara forgets all hatred, starting a different, better, and more meaningful life, becoming a friend of Naruto.
Gaara is evidence of redemption and the noble self of every human being; he is the result of the power of love, a character rich in humanity in lifestyle, thoughts, and ways to remake life.
