Unlike the global trend favoring 6.1-inch models, specifically the non-Pro iPhone 13 dominates the global best-selling list, according to CounterPoint. However, Vietnamese users tend to favor the 'big and bold' iPhone 13 Pro Max, claiming over half of the total sales of the iPhone 13 series.
According to reports, a whopping 65% of iPhone 13 Pro Max units in the iPhone 13 series were sold within the first 6 months. In contrast, the 6.1-inch models, the 13 and 13 Pro, each accounted for 15% of the sales, while the 'youngest sibling,' the 13 mini, had a rather 'mini' share with only 5% of the total iPhone 13 series sales. This trend is not unique to Mytour, as many other retailers also report superior sales for the iPhone 13 Pro Max over other iPhone models.

iPhone 13 Pro Max - The 'Big Brother' in both Design and Sales
The sales figures of the iPhone 13 Pro Max surpass the combined sales of all three other models. This comes as no surprise, as even during the initial release of the iPhone 13 series, the Pro Max model consistently sold out first, forcing customers to wait for weeks. In contrast, the mini model always struggled to find its place due to a lack of consumer interest.

It's not just the iPhone 13 series; ever since the debut of the iPhone 6 Plus, large-screen iPhones have consistently topped the sales charts, regardless of the neatness or affordability of other models. There are many reasons behind the 'attraction' of these large-screen iPhones.

Let's be honest, despite being more widespread, the new iPhone models are still pricey compared to the average income of the Vietnamese people. The mindset of 'once you've decided to buy, go all the way' is a significant factor in users willing to spend extra for the Pro Max, investing an additional 2 million VND to get the biggest and most powerful device seems justified.
Next is the experience on the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which is truly impressive. While the 6.7 inches may not seem significantly different from 6.1 inches on paper, the real-world experience is quite distinctive; entertainment is enhanced, and typing errors are reduced. Overall, everything is excellent, except for the fact that the phone is a bit heavy and can be tiring to hold for extended periods.

Another undeniable reason is the high level of recognition the iPhone 13 Pro Max offers. Though similar to the 13 Pro, holding them in hand reveals who is using the Pro and who is using the Pro Max due to clear differences in size and proportion with the back. Therefore, the 13 Pro Max is perfect for flaunting and 'flexing'; spending tens of millions on a phone, a little show-off is not a bad thing, it's a demand.
Thanks to its considerable appeal, users of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, in particular, or large-screen iPhone models, in general, find it easy to sell when they want to upgrade. So, buying the Pro Max is also about making it easy to pass on, with a good resale value, minimizing losses since there are many buyers interested in it.
Will the New 'Non-Pro' iPhone Version Also Sport a Large Screen?
In the near future, it is rumored that the iPhone will introduce two 6.7-inch screen models, one being the Pro Max and the other a 'non-Pro' variant but still Max. The new large-screen series is expected to replace the current mini generation, as its sales haven't been explosive after two iterations.
Although not yet launched, we can anticipate that the upcoming 'Max' iPhone model, alongside the iPhone Pro Max, will collectively shake up the sales in Vietnam due to the local customers' fondness for large screens.

The question arises whether the new larger-screen iPhone will pose a threat to the sales of the 'regular' iPhone version or even snatch the 'throne' from the flagship Pro Max. Considering the new models will undoubtedly be more affordable than the Pro Max, possibly even cheaper than the Pro model, yet still feature a 6.7-inch display, those who were 'price-conscious' to buy the Pro Max now have a suitable option to satisfy their needs. Let's wait and see if the new iPhone model will make a significant impact in the Vietnamese market!
Commitment
It's not surprising that the iPhone 13 Pro Max dominates the majority of sales at various large and small retailers, as it has always been the case. If you were to choose, would you go for the iPhone Pro Max or opt for a smaller screen size?
