Your important bookmarks and addresses on your iOS device can now be effortlessly backed up to your computer using the following methods:
1. Safari on Mac
Syncing data between iOS and Windows/Mac via iCloud is the only synchronization method officially supported by Apple. While this feature is mainly supported on Mac, bookmark syncing capability is also integrated into the iCloud app on Windows.
On Mac, the syncing feature is automatically enabled. To check if this feature is on, you can open the System Preferences window, navigate to iCloud, and check whether the Safari option is enabled.
Avoid using Safari on Windows as Apple has long discontinued support for this version. Thanks to iCloud, you can easily sync between browsers on Windows and iPad/iPhone.
Firstly, download and install Apple's iCloud Control Panel. Then, sign in with your Apple ID credentials.
Within the iCloud interface, click on the Bookmarks option. Next, press the Options button to select the browsers you want to sync (on Internet Explorer, bookmarks are referred to as 'favorites' instead of 'bookmarks').
3. Syncing on Chrome
Utilize the free Chrome app for iPad and iPhone provided by Google. If you use Chrome on both iOS and Windows, easily sync bookmarks by signing in to Chrome with your Google account after installation.
On Chrome's Menu button, choose 'Sign in to Chrome' or 'Log in to Chrome' to sign in. Then, enter your Gmail account details.
You can open Chrome's Settings to check whether Chrome Sync is enabled. Choose Advanced sync settings and verify if the Bookmark sync option is turned on.
Once Chrome Sync is enabled, you can download and install Chrome from the App Store. Bookmarks and data like open tabs will be automatically synchronized.
This is a better solution than using Safari and iCloud because Chrome is available on all major operating systems today. Besides bookmarks, you can sync many other useful pieces of information from the browser. The downside is that Chrome is slower than Safari on iPhone and iPad. Additionally, Apple doesn't allow you to set any non-Apple app as the default app, including Chrome.
4. Manual Sync with iTunes
If you prefer the 'classic' data sync method with a USB cable, you can select your device on iTunes and click on the Info tab. In the Bookmarks section, you can enable the option to sync bookmarks.

However, you can only use this feature after turning off iCloud on iPhone/iPad. When iCloud is enabled, this feature will be locked.
