If you're a business person, phone contacts are invaluable assets that you must always consider how to secure and preserve. Syncing contacts is an effective and the first thing that comes to mind to help you back up contacts efficiently and quickly.
Syncing contacts from iPhone to Gmail may seem straightforward, but not everyone knows how to do it. While using a Gmail account is quite common nowadays, with almost everyone having one, today, Mytour will guide you through syncing contacts from iPhone and iPad to Gmail. Syncing contacts from iPhone and iPad to Gmail
Step 1: From the home screen interface, navigate to Settings > scroll down and tap on iCloud and open the Contacts section as shown below.
Step 2: On your computer, use a web browser to access the iCloud homepage here and log in to your account (Mytour uses Chrome browser here).
Step 3: The iCloud interface appears, select Contacts.
Step 4: Next, choose the contact phone number or press the Ctrl + A combination to select all. Then click on Settings (Gear icon) at the bottom left corner of the browser, select Export vCard.
The browser will immediately download a file containing all the selected contacts with the name vCard iCloud.vcf.
Step 5: Also in the same browser, open a new tab and log in to your personal Gmail account. (If you don't have a Gmail account yet, you can learn how to create a Gmail account here).
Step 6: From the Gmail inbox interface, click on Gmail and select Contacts.
Step 7: The Contacts Manager interface appears, select More and then click on Import.
Step 8: A dialog box appears requesting to choose a CSV or vCard file to upload.
Step 9: Click on Choose file and navigate to the folder containing the vCard iCloud.vcf file you created earlier.
Step 10: Once you have selected the vCard file, click on Import to start importing contacts to Gmail.
Step 11: Immediately, all contacts in your address book will be displayed here.
So here are the steps to sync contacts from iPhone to Gmail quite easily. In this article, Mytour used an iPhone 6 iOS 10 device to perform this trick. For other devices like iPhone 5, 5s, 6 plus, 6s, 7, 7s, 7 plus or iPad, you can do the same. With this contact backup method, you won't have to worry about losing contacts if your SIM card or phone gets damaged or lost.
