T1 secures the top position, but League of Legends is completely defeated by a popular Esports game.
Since its launch in 2009, and bringing the first professional tournaments in 2011, League of Legends has consistently been seen as a highly captivating Esports game. At its peak, it garnered global attention, earning the title of the 'National MOBA Game' and expanding to countries unfamiliar with MOBA games like Brazil and Iceland. Notably, thanks to the allure of iconic stars such as Faker, Uzi, League of Legends continues to attract a massive audience during prestigious world-class tournaments.

Recently, according to Esports Charts, T1 is determined as the most-watched team globally in 2023, across all international platforms (excluding Chinese broadcast channels). T1 accumulated an impressive 129.25 million views. Additionally, T1 and Gen.G are the only League of Legends teams listed. However, the reigning LCK champions, Gen.G, secured the 5th spot with 64.97 million views. Nevertheless, having two League of Legends teams in the top 5 emphasizes the game's enduring popularity in 2023.

However, the absolute dominance in the rankings must be attributed to the mobile Esports title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This game claimed six positions out of the top 10, with the remaining three spots, excluding T1 and Gen.G, belonging to Mobile Legends. This underscores the game's tremendous popularity on mobile devices, not only in developed Esports markets like Korea and China but also thriving in Southeast Asian and other Asian countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines.

Furthermore, T1's dominance can be understood as stemming from their remarkably strong performance at the 2023 World Championship. With a vast fan base spanning the globe, T1's journey to the finals significantly elevated the tournament's prestige, at least in terms of viewership. The finals clash between T1 and Weibo Gaming also amassed over 6 million views in total.

It can be stated that the mobile gaming industry as a whole, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in particular, has forged a genuinely robust community. Despite being a mobile game, this title is truly challenging giants like League of Legends and DOTA 2 in the competition for global audience share.
