Prior to the 'Telecom War' match, T1 and KT Rolster (KT) were in starkly different situations. KT was leading the LCK Summer 2023 standings with 13 consecutive wins, while T1 was enduring a streak of 4 consecutive losses. Consequently, T1's loss against KT was foreseeable.
And as predicted, T1 couldn't spring any surprises against a KT side playing exceptionally well at the moment. Even in game 2, KT opted for a rather unusual lineup with Vayne and Alistar in the Bot Lane yet still emerged victorious.
