T1 emerges as the next big name in the LCK scene, finalizing its roster for the 20222 season
Early December marks the deadline for LoL teams to finalize their rosters for the 2022 season, leading to numerous transfers, rumors, and unexpected deals. Iconic players like Faker staying with T1 with a groundbreaking contract or renowned Marksman Rekkles moving down to compete in Europe's second-tier league.

Recently, T1 becomes the next name after DWG KIA, Gen.G Esports, and Nongshim RedForce to announce its official lineup for the 2022 season. Although CEO T1 Joe Marsh hinted at this lineup during a recent Discord session, the official announcement has garnered significant attention. T1 will kick off the 2022 season with 6 players: Faker (Mid) as captain - Zeus (Top) - Oner (Jungle) - Gumayusi (ADC) - Keria (Support) and Asper - a player recently promoted from T1 Challengers and also playing Support.

This T1 lineup appears even younger than the 2021 roster, which still included veterans like Teddy and Cuzz. In the new lineup, even Zeus - the youngest player on the team, born in 2004, replacing the veteran Canna - is 8 years younger than the legendary Faker.

Moreover, player Asper will play an exceptionally unique role as he's not only a substitute Support for Keria but also, as revealed by T1's CEO, a member of T1's coaching staff. This dual role demonstrates T1's trust in the 2000-born player.

Currently, there's still no official information regarding the start date of LCK Spring 2022. However, with a youthful lineup, especially with players like Oner, Gumayusi, and Keria who showcased impressive performances at Worlds 2021, T1 fans are hopeful that the team can clinch titles in the upcoming season. Especially, they anticipate Faker fulfilling his desire for a 4th Worlds championship before concluding his illustrious career.
