When it comes to traveling in Phan Thiết, aside from well-known spots like Mũi Né, Bàu Trắng, Kê Gà, Tà Cú Mountain is one of the new tourist attractions in Phan Thiết that many domestic tour groups choose for a memorable trip.
Untouched Tà Cú Mountain Tourism Area in Phan Thiết
The Tà Cú Mountain Tourism Area is situated along National Highway 1A, in Thuận Nam town, 28km south of Phan Thiết city. Known for its 649m-high peak, Tà Cú offers a pristine and magnificent natural landscape with rugged mountains and ancient temples nestled amidst forests.

Although Tà Cú has been included in tourism as Tà Cú Tourist Area for a long time, it wasn't until recent years that Tà Cú became known to many travelers. However, mainly adventure enthusiasts visit to explore and participate in entertainment activities, physical training, or pilgrimage to the Buddha. Resort-style tourism is still quite limited at Tà Cú Tourist Area in Phan Thiết.

When visiting Tà Cú during the springtime, travelers are treated to the splendid sight of mountain apricot trees in full golden bloom and fragrant red rhododendrons adorning the forest. Particularly noteworthy is the addition to Tà Cú's rich ecosystem: a small stream trickling from the mountain crevices, its water clear, sweet, and refreshing.
Furthermore, Tà Cú Mountain Pagoda preserves the sacred traces of Buddhist heritage for over a century, boasting ancient temple scenes and contemplative Buddha statues, exuding solemnity amidst the ancient forest—a spiritual pilgrimage site for those seeking blessings for their families.
Tips for Traveling to Tà Cú, Phan Thiết
Presently, based on travel experience, Mytour suggests two ways for travelers to reach the summit of Tà Cú Mountain.
One option is for travelers to ascend the mountain via over 1000 steps over a span of 3 hours. This method is favored by adventurous travelers who enjoy hiking and, importantly, possess good physical health.
Alternatively, travelers can utilize the cable car system for a more convenient ascent and descent. With this method, travelers can reach the summit in just 15 minutes. The Tà Cú cable car system spans 1,600m in length, reaching a height of 505m, with 35 automatic cabins. Round-trip cable car tickets cost 160,000 VND per person, including entrance fees.

Upon reaching the summit, visitors can explore the Linh Sơn Trường Thọ Pagoda and the Long Đoàn Pagoda. Here, statues of the Buddha Thích Ca and the reclining Buddha Niết Bàn are enshrined, with the reclining Buddha statue being one of the largest in Southeast Asia, boasting unique architectural artistry.
Standing atop the mountain, visitors can experience the sensation of gazing out over the drifting clouds and marvel at the scenery amidst the cool mountain air.

For travelers seeking an overnight stay atop the mountain, there is a range of hotels equipped with all amenities catered specifically for them. The hotel area offers clean, spacious rooms, including both private and dormitory options.
Additionally, the budget-friendly tourist area features two restaurants, one at the foot of the mountain and one at the summit, serving a variety of delicious dishes showcasing Phan Thiết specialties. They also offer karaoke and coffee services with prices ranging from affordable to upscale.
At the Tà Cú tourist area, entertainment options are limited, with only recreational fishing, pedal boats, and electric cars available.
