Vietnamese brand Pi has just launched the N005 tablet model into the market, with a 7-inch size featuring calling and texting capabilities like a regular phone.
Similar to Samsung's Galaxy Tab products, the Pi N005 is also equipped with a SIM slot at the back of the device, allowing users to send texts and make calls like a smartphone on the size of a tablet.

Real-world usage indicates that this Android 4.0 tablet (with stock interface) performs well in making calls. The Pi N005 features a single-core Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 512MB of RAM. The 7' touchscreen supports multitouch with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels for vibrant colors. However, due to the moderate resolution, pixels are still discernible. Moreover, the Pi E005 remains quite glare-prone when used outdoors. Users can also engage in video calls with the 0.3-megapixel front camera; or capture photos and enjoy entertainment with the 2-megapixel main camera on the back of the device.
Besides the integrated 8GB memory, the Pi N005 allows expansion up to 32GB storage capacity via a microSD card slot. It also supports both Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G broadband connections. The device is powered by a 3,500mAh battery providing approximately 3-5 hours of continuous usage.
