Empire - Assassins
With a series of buffs to Empire champions in the recent updates, this lineup has proven its strength. Additionally, the nerf to the Gangplank - Assassin lineup indirectly boosts the power of the Empire team, making it easier to upgrade important chess pieces like Talon.
Moreover, using the massive units Sion and Galio towards the end of the match helps players save a considerable amount of gold for lineup upgrades. This is crucial for lineups that require frequent rerolls to upgrade Talon to 3 stars. For a successful Talon build, it's advised to prioritize equipping items like Infinity Edge and Rapid Firecannon.
Inventors
It seems that the recent Seraphine nerf in patch 12.2 was too light to dethrone the Inventor's title as the 'king of team compositions'. Despite Seraphine's decreased healing ability, as long as Janna or Orianna remain in the lineup, the Inventor proves to be extremely resilient. Furthermore, with champions available at all price points, players can build an Inventor team from the start of the match without needing to reroll excessively.
The advice when building an Inventor team is not to be too greedy with the Idol slot, especially concerning Jayce's position. Victory conditions rely on Jayce continuously receiving heals from Seraphine or Janna. While Janna's healing is straightforward, Seraphine only provides this along a straight line when casting her ultimate. Placing Jayce away from Seraphine makes him much easier to take down.
Mages - Yordles
Essentially, this lineup is a variation of the Empire team, utilizing Talon and Samira for physical damage output. However, leveraging Swain instead of Sion requires at least 4 Mage champions to ensure optimal damage. Players typically aim for Ziggs, Vex, and 3-star Yordles to maximize gold income when using the Mage team.
The Mages - Yordles lineup capitalizes on the devastating damage potential from Mage units. Additionally, with Lulu and Janna, this lineup receives incredibly effective healing during skirmishes. This ideal condition allows Vex or Swain to survive and deal massive damage. The sole advice when playing this lineup is to include as many Force of Nature items as possible to enhance the team's damage output.
