Shoko Nakagawa's bold decision garners overwhelming support from manga-anime fan community
Recently, multi-talented singer and voice actress Shoko Nakagawa revealed on Twitter her application to become a space astronaut for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). (JAXA).

Shoko shared a screenshot of her astronaut application acceptance and exclaimed: 'I've completed my astronaut application! This is my ticket to my greatest dream: stepping into space. Thanks to the extensive recruitment, I have the opportunity to test my abilities! I've always been 1 cm short in height, but now it's time to apply!'
The talented female voice actress also revealed her aspiration to explore outer space and delve into the deep oceans. In 2009, she ventured 5200 meters below the ocean's surface in a manned submersible.
Shoko Nakagawa, also known as Shokotan, is a renowned female singer who has performed theme songs for various anime including Gurren Lagann, Star Blazers 2199, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Punch Line, and numerous Pokémon movies. Shoko has also been a guest host on the children's variety show Pokémon no Uchi Atsumaru? (Meet Up at the Pokémon House?) for over 6 years.

In January of this year, Shoko was discharged from the hospital after being treated for anaphylactic shock, a severe allergic reaction that can be life-threatening. She explained that the anaphylactic shock may have been caused by a component in various medications she had previously used to treat fever, body aches, fatigue, and stress. Shoko also noted that she had tested negative for coronavirus or COVID-19.
